Greensocks Design was founded by graphic designer and world traveler Vahan Vanian. Born in Yerevan, Armenia to a family of painters, Vahan spent his formative years living and studying in Armenia and Russia. While earning his degree in advertising at the Russian-Armenian University, Vahan volunteered from the Armenian Red Cross. There, he created promotional materials for the non-profit and discovered his love for graphic design and its power to make a positive impact.

 

Vahan’s globe-trotting escapades took him to Liverpool, England, where he volunteered for the British Red Cross, back to Russia where he learned the art of functional design working for Swatch, and then to Orange County, CA where he studied Graphic and UI/UX design at Orange Coast College. Now a US citizen, Vahan considers Orange County his home but continues to explore different countries and cultures.

 

Vahan’s upbringing, education, and travels have informed his personal aesthetic as well as Greensocks’ approach to graphic design and client services. The son of painters, Vahan was exposed to art as a potent communications tool at an early age. His degree in advertising allows him to balance strategy with creativity for Greensocks Designs’ clients. 

 

At Greensocks Design, the client is considered the most important part of the collaborative process. Every project begins by listening carefully to the client, then asking questions to ensure the client’s goals, experience, and perspective are understood and valued. Taking the clients’ input, we thoroughly research, explore, and create design directions that provide clients with multiple options. Working closely with the client, designs are refined and revised until the client is complete happy with the end result. Only when our clients are satisfied, are we satisfied too.
